New Opportunity!!!

The Academy for Social-Emotional Learning in Schools offers a certificate program in School Leadership with availability to join as soon as this summer! Offered by Saint Elizabeth University in partnership with Rutgers University, this three course certificate program trains educators in the dissemination and implementation of social-emotional learning and character development skills within schools. Starting at $295 for the first course, our summer workshop goes from June 10-July 28 and offers 7 weeks of asynchronous instruction provided by experts in the field. This certificate is ideal for a broad range of education professionals and school leaders. You do not need to be in a formal position of leadership to gain value from this program. Apply by 5/31 to enroll this summer!

To help school personnel respond to these challenges, the Academy for Social-Emotional Learning in Schools is now offering its Certificate in Instruction for Social-Emotional and Character Development (SECD). This unique, continuing professional education program prepares educational professionals—teachers, school support personnel, out-of-school program staff- with a solid foundation and applicable skills to help their schools become more positive places for children to learn, adults to teach, and all to thrive.

Similarly, today’s school leaders face great challenges. How do we strengthen basic skills, increase higher-order thinking, and warn about the dangers of substance abuse and violence, all while promoting appreciation and respect for diversity? Simply put, how do we help our children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally? And how do we do this in the face of budget crunches and federal and state mandates?

To help school leaders respond to these challenges, the Academy for Social-Emotional Learning in Schools is now offering its Certificate in School Leadership for Social-Emotional Learning and Character Development. The certificate program prepares educational professionals to help their schools become more positive places for children to learn, adults to teach, and all to thrive.

All graduates of the certificate programs get access to an online professional learning community of SEL/SECD experts—your Virtual Professional Learning Community.
