Samuel J. Nayman, Ph.D.

Samuel J. Nayman, Ph.D., is the former Students Taking Action Together (STAT) Project Director. Sam is committed to creating greater opportunities for people to achieve their potential, by way of policies and social-emotional and character development (SECD) interventions. In this pursuit, he has designed and consulted on school-based SECD programs, as well as published peer-reviewed articles and a book chapter on this subject. Sam is a graduate of Rutgers University’s clinical psychology doctoral program and Yale School of Medicine’s doctoral internship in clinical and community psychology. He will be moving on to a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical child psychology at Mayo Clinic. Sam also enjoys participating in the annual JDRF bike ride with family, singing karaoke with friends, and listening to podcasts.
