Danielle Hatchimonji, Ph.D.

Senior Lab Research & Practice Advisor

Danielle Hatchimonji, PhD is an Assistant Research Scientist at Nemours Children's Health in Wilmington, DE and member of the SECD Lab since 2013. She has worked on the New Brunswick Public Schools project and the MOSAIC Project, collaborating with school personnel and the SECD Lab team to improve school culture and climate through a Social-Emotional and Character Development approach. She works as a consultant to support schools' and districts' efforts to implement social-emotional learning (SEL) and character education initiatives and foster a positive school climate. Her research, intervention, and advocacy aims to prevent the adverse effects of trauma, chronic stress, racism, and poverty in children and families through multi-tiered interventions in the school and healthcare systems. She was selected as one of the inaugural cohort members of the Weissberg Scholars Program from CASEL in 2021.
